Dr. Hamish Cameron
Hamish Cameron is a Lecturer in Classics at Victoria University of Wellington where he works on the history and geography of the Roman Near East, representations of imperialism in ancient Greek and Latin literature, and the reception of the ancient Mediterranean world in modern games. His book, Making Mesopotamia: Geography and Empire in a Romano-Iranian Borderland (2019), examines how Roman geographical writers controlled their spatial descriptions to convey imperial perspectives. He has recently published on the pedagogy of tabletop games and has forthcoming chapters and articles on Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Hades.
